Office Assistant
Job Description
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Â
- Scheduling appointments for field staff, including calling eligible clients and explaining available program services
- Answering and forwarding telephone calls, emails and Internet inquiries
- Screening clients for program eligibility
- Entering data into Salesforce and various funder data systems
- Filing/faxing/copying/mailing
- Preparing correspondence and bulk mailings
- Assisting with funder invoicing and reporting
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Â
- Occasionally able to lift up to 40 lbs.
- Occasional climbing, standing, bending, reaching above and below shoulder height, bending and twisting, grasping with one or both hands
- Frequent phone and oral communication, public contact, working with others, must be able to comprehend and follow instructions
- Continuous sedentary work, typing data entry, computer, repetitive movement of hands, arms. Hearing and vision are needed.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Â
- Associates degree with minimum 2 years office experience or high school/GED diploma with a minimum 5 years office experience
- Computer experience with Microsoft Office and Internet use
- Excellent English communication skills, written and verbal – bilingual a plus
- Ability to multi-task in a busy office environment
- Knowledge of home building/remodeling terminology a plus
