Job Description

Receptionist – Seasonal (Temp-to-Hire Potential)

Location: Pittsfield, MA
Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 7:00/7:30 AM – 4:00 PM (some flexibility on start time)
Pay: $20 per hour

Overview

We’re looking for a friendly and reliable Receptionist to join our client's busy seasonal LIHEAP team. This temp position with potential to become permanent is the first point of contact for visitors and callers, ensuring excellent customer service and smooth office operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Answer and direct a high volume of incoming calls on a multi-line system.

  • Provide clear, courteous information about services to callers.

  • Greet and check in on-site visitors, directing them to the right staff or program representative.

  • Take accurate messages or transfer calls to voicemail.

  • Sort and route incoming mail and complete basic clerical duties (filing, copying, scanning).

  • Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times.

  • Assist with additional administrative tasks as needed.

Qualifications

  • Prior receptionist or administrative experience preferred.

  • Strong communication and customer service skills.

  • Ability to stay organized and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

  • Excellent attendance required during this seasonal role.

Additional Details

  • Fridays are typically off, but some may be mandatory workdays during peak periods with advance notice.

  • Opportunity for long-term employment after the seasonal period.
