Job Description

The PCA Nurse Supervisor position provides clinical supervision of the organization's Personal Care Attendant (PCA) program caseload.  In this capacity, the Nurse Supervisor will oversee and review evaluations and re-evaluations performed by a team of contracted Registered Nurses and Occupational Therapists.  The RN Supervisor will serve as the clinical contact for PCA program and will respond to inquiries from MassHealth regarding prior authorization requests for consumers of the program. 

The RN Supervisor may also serve as a per diem Nurse Evaluator.  Must be licensed by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts as a Registered Nurse.  Must have good people skills and be able to deal professionally with consumers, human service workers, and other business and professional people.  Community nursing and supervisory experience preferred.

Essential Functions: Coordination and assignment of nurse caseloads; review of evaluations and re-evaluations; determination of program eligibility; understand and be able to explain MassHealth program rules and regulations; entering required documentation correctly and timely in both electronic and written formats; assist consumers, nurses, and staff in problem solving.
This position is part-time 20-25 hours and 75% of work takes place in the Pittsfield office or in the community. This position requires travel with personal vehicle, home visits (ascending/descending stairs), electronic and written documentation, and ability to understand MassHealth rules and regulations. Primary working hours are negotiable but must take place during  business hours 9am-5pm M-F.
