3rd Shift Machine Operator
Job Description
Our client, a plastic manufacturing company based in Dalton has immediate openings for a detail-oriented and reliable Machine Operator on the 3rd shift.
Position Summary:
As a Machine Operator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining plastic manufacturing machines. You will ensure that production runs smoothly, efficiently, and safely while adhering to company quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and monitor plastic manufacturing machinery, including injection molding, extrusion, and blow molding machines.
- Set up machines according to specifications and ensure proper calibration.
- Inspect and measure finished products to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
- Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of machinery to prevent breakdowns and ensure optimal performance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve minor machine issues; report major issues to maintenance personnel.
- Follow safety procedures and protocols to maintain a safe working environment.
- Document production output, machine performance, and any issues encountered during the shift.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production goals and deadlines.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience operating machinery in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot machine issues.
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills and the ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Willingness to work the 3rd shift (11 PM - 7 AM) and overtime as needed.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Stand, walk, and work on your feet for extended periods.
- Perform repetitive tasks and maintain focus on detailed work.
