Custom Automotive manufacturer seeks an Industrial Painter to join their busy team. The Industrial Painter is responsible for the preparation and finishing of the vehicles and parts. Great Opportunity to join a busy, well established company with an awesome product!ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Apply undercoats and finish coats using the full range of application methods and materials
- Mix and match paints and finishes
- Use various methods to prepare surface for painting
- Examine and feel all surfaces of metal to detect defects
- Mask surfaces with tape and paper
- Maintain a clean and tidy work area
- Complete all documentation including inspection sheets
- Identify areas of process improvement, cost and waste reduction
- Work in an efficient and timely manner
- Maintain cooperative working relationships, and demonstrate sensitivity to and respect for a diverse population
- Record all hours worked accurately
- Safely store and label materials
- Perform routine maintenance on paint booths, guns and gun cleaner
- Adhere to and carry out existing work practices, procedures and policies
- Maintain confidentiality and observe data protection and associated guidelines where appropriate
- Understand and comply with safety and environmental policies
- Other duties as assigned
- Ability to work independently in the absence of supervision
