IT Managed Service Provider is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Information Security Officer. This individual will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining ours and our clients’ organization's information security policies, procedures, and programs. The ideal candidate will have a comprehensive understanding of cybersecurity best practices, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

IT Managed Service Provider is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Information Security Officer. This individual will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining ours and our clients’ organization's information security policies, procedures, and programs. The ideal candidate will have a comprehensive understanding of cybersecurity best practices, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement information security policies, procedures, and programs to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of our organization's data and systems.
- Conduct regular risk assessments and vulnerability tests to identify potential security breaches and recommend solutions.
- Monitor network and system activity to detect and respond to security threats, including viruses, security breaches, and unauthorized access attempts.
- Coordinate and conduct employee training on information security policies and procedures.
- Develop and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
- Evaluate and make recommendations on technical security controls, such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and encryption technologies.
- Stay current on industry trends and developments in information security and integrate them into our organization's security strategy.
- Conduct research and make recommendations for new security technologies and products that will enhance our organization's overall security posture.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- 3 years of experience in information security, preferably in a similar role.
- Knowledge of risk assessment, threat analysis, vulnerability management, and industry best practices for information security.
- Experience with intrusion detection and prevention, incident response, and security event management.
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP protocols, networking, and systems administration.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Relevant certifications, such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), preferred.
- CMMC and NIFT Certifications highly preferred
