Maintenance Mechanic
Job Description
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Conducts maintenance and repair activities as assigned
- Supports the installation and calibration of new equipment.
- Coordinates schedules with outside vendors when needed and communicates them on schedule, purchase orders, quotations, etc.
- Supports the preventative maintenance program and documents all activities in the preventive maintenance system.
- Maintains inventory of supplies and components required for both critical and non-critical equipment.
- Performs safety checks on equipment and identifies potential hazards to the Safety Committee.
- Ensure that all manufacturing equipment is kept clean and neat to ensure safety of all employees.
- Responds to emergency calls for maintenance assistance when needed.
- Supports Facilities Maintenance when needed with building and equipment repairs.
- Performs back-up duties for Facilities Maintenance and Janitor when required.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Ensure that all equipment safeties are not altered or defeated.
- Other duties as assigned
