Staff Accountant
Job Description
Lenox client seeks Staff Accountant to join their 6 person Finance Department in a Temp capacity, with potential to become a Temp to Hire. This role will provide support by maintaining the integrity of financial data, and maintaining financial compliance in systems and reporting. Hybrid work opportunity- can be 32 or 40 hours a week. Pay to $23/HR.
ACCOUNTABILITIES:Â

Prepare and post journal entries to support the month-end and year-end close processes.Â

Complete monthly reconciliation of assigned balance sheet accounts.Â

Complete Daily Cash and CC Reconciliation for PMS SystemÂ
-
Maintain reporting to support company operations.Â

Record ACH Transactions in AP Module ; AP Back upÂ
-
Research and reconcile over/short deposits.Â
-
Month End Reconciliation of Balance Sheet AccountsÂ
-
Develop interdepartmental relationships to aid in researching and resolving cash related issues.Â

Perform other duties as assigned.Â

Shows discretion and ability to protect confidential informationÂ
ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCEÂ - Associates or Bachelors in Accounting or equivalent work experience and working toward degreeÂ

Detail orientated and self review mindedÂ

2-3 years’ experience in an accounting officeÂ
-
Must be able to work independently as well as part of a teamÂ

Ability to organize and prioritize tasks to meet deadlinesÂ

Strong Guest Service skillsÂ

Excellent verbal and written communication skillsÂ

Proficiency with Microsoft office, including Excel, and accounting systems – Navision helpfulÂ
