Warehouse Associate
Job Description
We have a Pittsfield client looking for a hardworking and detail-oriented person to join their team! In this role, you'll help with shipping and receiving products, loading and unloading trucks, inspecting shipments, and keeping things organized. You'll also pitch in with inventory counts and general warehouse upkeep, like emptying dumpsters and keeping the space tidy.
This is a full time, first shift temp to hire job with starting pay of $18/HR.
What You'll Do:
- Receive, unpack, check, and store products or materials
- Load and unload trucks
- Pick and pack orders for shipping
- Work with different shipping vendors like UPS, FedEx, and LTL
- Help with inventory counts and keep records up to date
- Keep the warehouse clean and organized
- Operate a forklift to move materials around
- Assist production by delivering materials and removing waste
- Follow safety guidelines and report any issues
What We’re Looking For:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Experience operating a forklift (sit-down and stand-up reach trucks)
- Ability to read and follow instructions, write reports, and communicate clearly
- Strong organization skills and attention to detail
- Comfortable using a computer and familiar with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 70 lbs regularly
- Comfortable standing, walking, and moving throughout the day
- Exposure to moving machinery in a warehouse setting
